Writing that is of low quality, littered with mistakes, or difficult to read can not only make you look unprofessional but also undermine your credibility. What’s more, it may inadvertently turn away those who might otherwise be interested in what you have to offer. Or, worse still, you may not be reaching out to people you could potentially work with simply because you’re not maintaining a regular presence in their inbox or on social media. I understand. It can feel overwhelming when you’re already spinning too many plates at once. Sitting down to craft the perfect blog, upgrade your website copy, or put the finishing touches to your latest newsletter can just feel like one task too many! But it doesn’t have to be this way if you have the right support. I can help you find the right words, give your ideas structure, and ensure you express yourself effectively. I can also give you an objective view on whether the piece of text is easy to understand. I call this a CONTENT REVIEW. Editing your writing to ensure it’s clear, fluent, and easy to read. COPY-EDITING is light-touch and improves on points such as punctuation, word choice, and sentence structure, whereas LINE EDITING involves more in-depth work on all aspects of the writing, including tone, pace, and flow. I’ll also check for spelling and grammatical errors. Checking and correcting mistakes, typos, and formatting so that the writing is error-free. This is PROOFREADING. Reshaping and rewriting the piece so that it’s well written, polished, and of a high enough standard to be published (in print or online). In some instances, I can also assist you in writing a piece from scratch, including carrying out research. I’ve termed this WRITING SUPPORT.
